I. Job Summary
 

Collaborates, evaluates, and coordinates continuous improvement objectives of Market Areas with greater than $400 Million in revenue. Oversees productivity & profitability analysis, labor management, standard operating processes, best practices as pertains to routing and logistics projects. Collaborates with various functional and LOB Managers to evaluate and coordinate continuous improvement objectives. 

  • This role will deal heavily with change management in reference to acquisitions. This refers to the structured approach WM will take to transition individuals, teams, and/or company-wide operations from the current state to the desired future state following a merger or acquisition. It will focus on minimizing disruption, ensuring smooth integration, and maximizing the success of the transition.

Directly supervise up to 3 analysts. 


II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partners with Managers to analyze Productivity performance, develop and implement continuous improvement plans.
  • Develops, manages and communicates MA, BU, Site, and LOB targets.
  • Partners with others (Pricing, Sales etc.) to analyze route & customer profitability, coordinating appropriate corrective actions. (includes DCO and Net Opt Projects)
  • Planning and Implementation of Area wide automation efforts
  • Reviews routing with Route Managers and/or Route Auditors, proactively flexing labor with anticipated +/-volume fluctuations.
  • Supports Peers in Standard Operating Procedures for data collection, routing, and dispatching processes.
  • Manages RLE & Ops analyst including tasks such as Route Flex, Cost opportunity files, and Area Logistics Plans(ALP) to meet efficiency reroute targets.
  • Works directly with local management to ensure periodic route reviews, optimizing routes, identifying routereductions with +/- volume, re-routes and communicating changes and benchmarks to Route Managers.
  • All other duties as assigned.

III. Qualifications


 

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

 

A. Education and Experience
 

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited) required.
  • Experience: 4 years of previous experience, including at least three years as an Industrial Engineer/Project Manager in a logistics environment and/or three years in Operations or District management or related industry required.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
 

  • None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
 

  • Industry operating experience
  • Strong communication, coaching & motivation skills
  • Ability to drive process culture change
  • Ability to act independently and evaluate people, processes and performance management objectively and continuously
  • Computer and associated software literacy
  • Familiarity with IT logistic systems
  • Strong analytical skills
